Crossbeam C25™ The Crossbeam C25 is a turnkey security solution, based on Crossbeam's highly succesful C30 model. This high performance, high port density, and high availability security services switch lets customers consolidate layers of defense in a compact, expandable form factor. The C25 is a network processor-based turnkey platform available to medium and large enterprise customers. Highlights include: Pre-configured turnkey security bundles that combine best-of-breed security engines to deliver and simplify total security against specific exposures such as network access (FW, IDS, VPN), mail (FW, SPAM, content scanning, AV) and Web content (FW, port 80 control, AV). High speed Ethernet backplane with specially designed external interfaces to enable processing power increases by either doubling the internal bandwidth between the NIM and the application host or by stacking two C25's together. Up to 12 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces or 4 10/100/1000 and two fiber or copper Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. Two redundant, hot-swappable, dual-feed power supplies, typically found only in carrier-class appliances, to ensure high availability for mission-critical security. Two high-capacity, high-speed hard drives to support data growth and ensure high performance for disk-intensive security applications such as anti-virus scanning. High availability via VRRP active-active configuration and application synchronization across two C25's.
