Control Processor Module (CPM) The CPM is brains of the system and the caretaker. It manages the system so your customers don’t have to. The CPM also continuously checks and monitors the health of the chassis and will take action to self-heal itself by re-provisioning blades. It can do this as it stores all the application information together with all the configurations like firewall rules. Want to upgrade the firmware? Crossbeam built a tool for that called Automated Workflow System (AWS) that is controlled through the CPM. Want to monitor the health of the entire platform? Crossbeam created an intuitive graphical element manager so your customers can check every aspect of the platform on one screen. Worried about security? All internal communications between the CPM to the other hardware components are controlled over a physically separate backplane ensuring complete security.
