Evaluations

To fully support our reseller customers, we provide evaluation equipment for use in qualified customer evaluations.  We don't need a provisional order or ask that you tie up your credit line.  World wide evaluations also available on request.

Guidelines:

Timescales:  All evaluations are for 14 days.  A 14 day extension can be approved by the VAR’s internal Account Manager at COMPUTERLINKS.  Further extensions must be approved by COMPUTERLINKS’ Senior Management.  Evaluations will have a maximum duration of 45 days.  To apply for an extension, please visit: http://www.computerlinks.com/evalextn.cfm

Qualification:  Evaluations are only allowed for qualified deals where budget exists, timescales agreed, and evaluation criteria are set.

VAR Obligations:  VAR assumes all responsibility for the equipment while on evaluation and ensures that equipment is returned undamaged and in its original packaging.  COMPUTERLINKS will arrange for the shipping and return of the Equipment using its carrier of choice and the VAR will be responsible for shipping costs for which they will be invoiced at time of sale or return of equipment.  For all evaluations that do not convert into a sale, VAR must supply an evaluation review that states the reasons why based on the failure to meet evaluation criteria.

Process:

  • VAR requests an evaluation from COMPUTERLINKS and COMPUTERLINKS forwards the requisite paperwork to VAR.
  • Upon completion of paperwork and verification that this is a qualified evaluation,
    COMPUTERLINKS ships equipment to VAR or VAR’s customer.
  • COMPUTERLINKS Technical Support verifies with VAR’s customer that all equipment has arrived and is in working order.
  • COMPUTERLINKS provides ongoing technical support for the evaluation as needed.
  • COMPUTERLINKS will update the VAR periodically on all evaluations ongoing.
  • COMPUTERLINKS will notify VAR approximately 7 days prior to the end of an evaluation period that the evaluation is due back.
  • After the evaluation is complete, COMPUTERLINKS will arrange formal quote for a sale or for
    return shipping if the evaluation was not successful.
